Continuing legal education program for attorneys is available Live or via Webcast

CHICAGO, IL, January 06, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Practical Professional Responsibility Tips for Health Care In-House and Outside Counsel, a continuing legal education program offered LIVE or via WEBCAST and hosted by the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA), will be held from 1 to 4:15 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2012, at the ISBA Regional Office, 20 S. Clark Street, Suite 900, in Chicago.

Topics include: understanding your role of representation; preserving confidentiality; aggressive representation vs. the obstruction of justice; dealing with the government and our obligation to opposing council; advising the client; providing legal counsel without assisting in the commission of a crime; preserving the attorney-client privilege; the ethical challenges in addressing vague or intent-based laws; conducting internal investigations; whistleblower issues; and more. Actual case facts and hypothetical situations are used throughout the seminar as a mechanism for analyzing these ethical issues.

Webcast cost and cost to attend on-site is $90 per person by January 14; thereafter, prices increase $15. Payment must be made in advance by check, money order, or credit card.

The program qualifies for 3.0 hours credit based on a 60 minute MCLE (Minimum Continuing Legal Education) credit hour, including 3.0 hours approved PMCLE credit, and is sponsored by the ISBA Health Care Section Council and ISBA Mutual Insurance Company.
