AmpliVox to Donate Pink Megaphones for Breast Cancer Awareness
Company Will Provide Free Portable Sound System for Races, Fundraisers and Other Events
NORTHBROOK, IL, January 26, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Following on the heels of its popular "Pink Podium Promise" donation program, AmpliVox Sound Systems is launching a companion donation program to provide free pink megaphones to breast cancer organizations. The new "Pink Power" megaphone is adapted from AmpliVox's versatile Mini-Meg, an all-weather portable 10-watt sound system that can carry voices over 100 yards. AmpliVox will offer these free megaphones to groups including Komen for the Cure affiliates, American Cancer Society chapters, and any other organization hosting a breast cancer-related event.
AmpliVox has been heavily involved with breast cancer awareness causes since 2010, when it began donating pink podiums to breast cancer groups. These lecterns, manufactured in indestructible polyurethane, have been placed with approximately 200 groups nationwide for use at races, fundraisers, and educational events. One podium even made its way to the US military in Iraq for use in educational programs. AmpliVox covers all expenses related to the Pink Podium Promise including shipping. Under the new program, AmpliVox will offer Pink Power megaphones under the same terms.
AmpliVox is choosing to expand its breast cancer support because of the wave of positive feedback connected to the Pink Podium Promise. The Pink Podium has over 1000 followers on Facebook, and AmpliVox CEO Don Roth was recently dubbed "Mr. Pink" by Illinois Meetings and Events magazine. Roth sees the donation programs as visible, long-lasting ways to assist advocacy groups in their mission. "AmpliVox products are all designed to make people's voices be heard, and our lecterns were a perfect match of product and need," said Roth, a cancer survivor himself. "The new Pink Power megaphone is going to be a versatile, convenient tool that will be of use to these groups for years to come." The company also plans to introduce a blue podium donation program in support of prostate cancer awareness.
The Pink Power megaphone is designed for ease and effectiveness. Its ultra-light construction and fold-in handle make it completely portable and easy to use. It includes an attention-grabbing siren function and has a durable plastic shell in the official pink of breast cancer awareness. Running on batteries, it provides up to 20 hours of continuous talk time.
