Good News Partners Purchases 27 Unit Building for the Homeless in Chicago
Good News Partners, a faith based organization in East Rogers park, has purchased a 27 unit building to create affordable housing for the homeless.

CHICAGO, IL, March 17, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Good News Partners (GNP), a faith based community organization, will now provide affordable housing for an additional 27 families.

"For families crammed into a single room occupancy units or in shelters, this building secures, long term, another step from homelessness to home ownership" says Ronn Frantz, executive director of GNP.

On average, according to Ronn, Good News Partners has to turn away 10-15 persons per week who approach them for shelter. "For 35 years, Good News Partners has been in this neighborhood, working to end homelessness and hopelessness. We want Chicago to be known worldwide as the city where there are no homeless people".

During the last year and a half, $600,000.00 was raised as a down payment for the new building, located at 1546 Jonquil Terrace. A building fund has been created to pay the remaining $600,000. For more information, please visit our website. Donations may be mailed to:
