New Chicago-based Company Puts the "Social" Back into Social Buying
CitySwarm organizes events for social Chicagoans who want to explore the city, take advantage of group deals, and meet new people.

CitySwarm negotiates group deals with Chicago's top cultural, entertainment, recreation, and dining venues to provide affordable, fun experiences to city dwellers ages 25-40. Participants can take advantage of these great deals while socializing with peers in a comfortable setting.

Unlike daily deal sites where customers purchase a ticket for an activity and are on their own to recruit friends and plan the rest, CitySwarm organizes a group activity at a specific time and place, and typically combines it with a social reception.

"I've bought event tickets through other deal sites," said CitySwarm Founder Lindsay Saewitz,"but there's not much socializing going on once you're there.
