When asked to comment on the event Steve's says "As a travel teacher and tour guide, my great challenge and a favorite goal is to inspire people to see how their travels can connect them more vividly with God's great creation" says Rick Steve's. "By traveling thoughtfully, we can understand that, whether we live across the street or across the seas, we are all neighbors and children of the same Father. And, for any person of faith, travel can be a spiritual experience. I've found that, for those packing the right attitude the best souvenir can be an empathy for desperate or struggling people".
" In Chicago, Good News Partners provides these same opportunities to travel between our own neighborhoods and those which are new and different, nurturing hope and empathy along the journey. The resulting affordable housing initiative shows how that inspiration and empathy can be played out to God's glory."
