Rabine Group's CEO was asked to be on a panel at a half-day program and was honored to speak alongside some of the Chicago-area's top executives and owners of middle-market companies

SCHAUMBURG, IL October 30, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Rabine Group is proud to announce that its CEO and founder, Gary Rabine, was asked to be part of a panel of three speakers at the second annual Crain's Middle Market University. It was a half-day program designed to provide real-world acquisition experience from owners and top executives at middle-market companies. It was held at the Wyndham Hotel Chicago on Tuesday, October 5th.

After being recognized by Crain's as one of Chicago's Largest Privately Held Companies and No. 12 in this year's Fast Fifty, the Rabine Group was sought out by Crain's so that the CEO could provide insight on his expertise. Gary Rabine spoke of how he started the business, growth strategies, acquisitions and expectations for the future. He sat alongside Michael Binstein, CEO of Binny's Beverage Depot, and Craig T. Bouchard, CEO of Shale Capital Partners. Their topic of focus was the acquisition climate for middle market companies.

The morning started with a panelist of Robert Blackwell, Jr., President and Founder of Killerspin, Grant DePorter, President of Harry Caray's Restaurant Group, John Hall, President of Goose Island Brewery, Mark Kaufman, President of AthletiCo, and Karen Seamen, Executive VP of Cramer-Krasselt. They spoke of growth strategies they used during the economic downfall and how they will continue to grow as it improves. Mr. Rabine's session was next followed by a presentation from Gordon Segal, Founder and CEO of Crate & Barrel.

Gary Rabine's story of the development of the Rabine Group from a small residential paving company to a group of companies, including national paving through Rabine Paving America, showed his passion and commitment to being the best in his industry and always striving to be world-class.
