Chicago Living Becomes More Localized, Bringing Consumers and Businesses Closer Together
Locallife Chicago Takes Small Business to New Heights with Unique Suite of Marketing Tools - Offers Consumers Ability to Search, Shop and Save Locally

CHICAGO, IL, October 13, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- With today's fast paced world and more of our lives moving online, small businesses have a new affordable way to find and connect with consumers, and consumers have a convenient way to locate local businesses, find great deals and save money. Locallife Chicago (www.locallife.com/chicago), which began rolling out across Chicagoland in July, is a one-of-a-kind resource helping small business owners promote and market their businesses through affordable online advertising and a suite of outbound marketing tools. And, for consumers, Locallife provides a free, searchable online directory featuring businesses and discounts in their local community.

Founded in the United Kingdom over 10 years ago, Locallife is a global franchise company that recently expanded to the United States. It is quickly becoming the one-stop-shop for consumers and small businesses. Locallife's unique approach organizes every local business by category and sub-categories allowing individuals to find exactly what they are looking for in their local community, as well as access coupons and promotions from local small businesses - everything to live better locally. For small businesses the company offers complete and affordable marketing packages including premium directory listings, full-service custom web design, text and email marketing, database marketing, coupon and special offer authoring, social media marketing and networking events with other local businesses.

"The purpose of Locallife is two-fold. One, provide businesses with the presence they need in today's online world and equip them with affordable, easy to use outbound marketing tools to help them grow and insulate their customer base," said Steve Lorenc, President of Locallife Chicago. "Two, to provide consumers with a one-stop resource to discover and find businesses in their local area that are relevant to them, while providing access to deals and savings."

"Locallife Chicago is timely for both businesses and consumers. For example, if a boutique decides to have a sale at the last minute they can easily create a discount or sale notice and then send text messages to their customers alerting them," said Phil Hollrah, Vice-President Locallife Chicago. "They don't have to wait for a sales representative or graphic designer to design an ad and get it up, a database marketer to pull a list, or a third-party SMS system to send out the text message. We put the power and control in the hands of the business owner and, in turn, they are building brand awareness with customers."

And building new companies and brands is something that both Hollrah and Lorenc are very familiar. Both men have extensive experience in launching and working with successful brands. Lorenc has over 25 years of senior management experience with large firms like Hewlett-Packard and Verisign along with a series of software and Internet firms such as Best Software, Network Solutions, and most recently as President of Briefing.com. Hollrah has spent nearly 20 years developing strategic plans that built brands and new products for both Fortune 500 companies and online technology firms. He served as Vice-President of Marketing for LifeStreet, a global marketing services company and began his career in brand management at Ralston Purina and Del Monte.
