Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza Announces the Opening of the New Debbie Allen Dance Academy
DADA moves to South LA mall and kicks things off with summer dance series

LOS ANGELES, CA, June 30, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Capri Capital Partners ("Capri") and Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza ("BHCP") announced today the opening of The Debbie Allen Dance Academy ("DADA") at the mall located at 3650 West Martin Luther King Boulevard in Los Angeles, California. The internationally acclaimed academy is relocating from Culver City to the corner of Marlton and Santa Rosalia Avenues in the former location of Mattie's Bistro.

To celebrate her move to the community, Debbie and her husband Norm Nixon hosted a welcoming party at BHCP this past weekend. The celebration began with DADA's innovative and high-energy Summer Dance Series Up On The Roof.

"This is a very exciting time for me personally as well as Capri Capital Partners," said Quintin E. Primo III, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Capri Capital Partners, LLC. "From the moment Capri purchased Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza, it was always our intention to integrate the performing arts into our overall redevelopment plan. The opening of Debbie Allen's Dance Academy is the first tangible evidence of our mall's multi-million dollar renovation project."

"We are so thankful that Quintin recognized the importance of supporting arts in the community - without Quintin we would have no home," said Debbie Allen, owner of the Debbie Allen Dance Academy. "Given the current economic climate and the financial crisis strangling education and the arts across the nation, we're deeply appreciative and proud to be able to continue our mission to nurture young dancers and develop the next generation of performers, artists and creative citizens. Without the generosity of The Annenberg Foundation, our generous supporters and corporate sponsors, we wouldn't be able to give scholarships to our talented students."

Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza, located at the corner of Martin Luther King Jr. and Crenshaw Boulevards is home to Macy's, Wal-Mart, Sears, Macy's, TJ Maxx, Magic Johnson Theaters and over 115 stores and restaurants. For more information, please visit our website at www.crenshawplaza.com.
